Martin County, FL – A routine status hearing turned chaotic this morning in Judge Roby’s courtroom when 46-year-old Evan Paul McCullough attempted to attack the judge.

During the hearing, McCullough lunged toward Judge Roby and spat at him, prompting immediate intervention from deputies.

Courtroom deputies quickly subdued McCullough, taking him to the ground and regaining control of the situation without further incident.

McCullough now faces charges including corruption by threat and battery on a judge or a person over 65.
