Camper Swept Away By Floodwaters In Indiana

Pekin, Indiana – A camper was carried off by rapidly rising floodwaters in Washington County, according to the local sheriff’s department.

The incident occurred in Pekin, behind Casey’s Gas Station, where a bridge on Shorts Corner Road became overwhelmed by the water.

Officials confirmed that the camper was unoccupied at the time it was swept away.

The dramatic moment was captured on video by New Pekin Town Marshal Jeff Thomas.
