Albacete, Spain – A massive fireball streaked across the sky late on October 4, 2025, at 11:56 p.m. UTC (1:56 a.m. CEST on October 5).
The spectacular event was observed from multiple locations, including Valencia, Granada, and Castellón. In Granada, the meteor appeared to rise from the Big Dipper, with the bright star Capella visible at the upper right of the frame.
Witnesses described the fireball’s brightness as momentarily rivaling the Moon. From Castellón, the phenomenon was also captured, though it appeared slightly dimmer due to its distance of nearly 300 kilometers.
The sighting marked another remarkable night for sky watchers across Spain.
