Joze, Auvergne, France – A bright spiral object lit up the sky on March 24, leaving viewers in awe. X user
@clexee_clem captured it on video from their home in Joze, Auvergne, France.
They wrote in French: “En direct de chez moi et l’espace ! Joze, Auvergne, France,” meaning “Live from my house and space!”
Preliminary reports confirm the spiral came from a Falcon 9 rocket launched by SpaceX. It was carrying the US NROL-69 satellite into low Earth orbit. The effect occurred after the rocket’s upper stage was jettisoned.
The detached stage spun and released residual fuel, forming the glowing spiral. A similar sight was seen in 2022 during a Falcon 9 launch of the Italian COSMO-SkyMed satellite.
