Bomb Falls Next To Bus On Busy Tehran Street During Israeli Precision Strike

Tehran, Iran – The Israel Defense Forces carried out a series of precision airstrikes across Tehran on March 17, 2026, targeting Basij soldiers in urban areas as part of ongoing operations that followed the killing of Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani.

Thermal and infrared footage released by the IDF shows crosshairs locking onto groups of soldiers near tents, vehicles, and fortified locations. After munitions hit, bright flashes and massive explosions erupted, followed by secondary detonations and rising plumes of smoke and debris.

One strike occurred perilously close to a bus traveling on a busy city street, highlighting how close some of the attacks were to civilian traffic. The high‑altitude drone and aircraft imagery, captured without audio, documents the rapid targeting of personnel and mobile units throughout the capital.

The strikes came shortly after the IDF announced the targeted elimination of Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani, who had led the force for six years. In the hours that followed, more than ten additional Basij checkpoints and soldier groups were hit across Tehran.

The poster described the operation in Hebrew, noting that following the commander’s elimination, the Air Force attacked Basij soldiers deployed across Tehran over the preceding hours.
