Blinding Snow And Deep Darkness Cloak Reykjavík Morning

Reykjavík, Iceland – Video recorded by x user Sif at 9:00 a.m. on November 19, 2025, shows a pitch-black winter morning as a moving car travels through heavy snowfall.

The sky remains completely dark with no sign of dawn, and thick snowflakes swirl through the headlights and nearby streetlights. The road is coated in snow, with fresh tire tracks cutting across the slippery surface.

Street lamps cast an orange glow over an empty parking area or side road near a commercial zone or bus stop, where a glass shelter and pedestrian-crossing signs are visible. A few cars pass slowly in the opposite direction, their red taillights blurred by the blizzard.

Faint outlines of buildings appear in the distance, along with dim holiday lights and Christmas decorations barely visible through the falling snow. The only sounds are the car’s wipers swiping intermittently and soft wind and snow noise.

The poster, a local resident, captioned the clip to emphasize the extreme darkness of mid-November in Iceland, when sunrise does not occur until around 10–11 a.m. The thumbnail provided matches a moment near the end of the footage.
