Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz / Dúdar, Granada, Spain – Specialists from Spain’s Civil Guard have continued rescue and evacuation efforts for animals trapped by flooding and severe weather conditions in southern Spain.
The operations on February 8, 2026, focused on animals isolated by rising waters and dangerous conditions in both Jerez de la Frontera in Cádiz and Dúdar in Granada.
Civil Guard teams worked throughout the day to reach and secure the affected animals, ensuring their safety amid ongoing adverse weather.
Authorities emphasized that operations will continue in both areas until all stranded animals are safely evacuated.
