Pike Road, Alabama – An alligator shocked motorists on Mother’s Day as it calmly crossed Interstate 85 before disappearing into nearby grass.

The unusual sighting occurred in Pike Road on May 11, 2025. Drivers slowed down as the reptile made its way across the highway, seemingly unfazed by the traffic.

Witnesses reported that the alligator moved steadily and confidently, ignoring the danger around it. After crossing all lanes, it vanished into the grassy area beside the road.

No injuries or traffic incidents were reported.
