Grant County, Indiana – A sheriff’s deputy responding to a report of an animal in the roadway instead encountered an entire escaped farm.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Korporal was dispatched last week for a call about an animal in traffic but arrived to find multiple goats along with chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese that had gotten loose from a nearby farm.

Body camera footage later shared shows the deputy working to guide the animals back, eventually herding them into a gated area.

“Thankfully, no animals were harmed, and everything ended the way we like to see it — safely and without incident,” the post said. “All of the animals were rounded up and put back where they belonged.”
