Mission Viejo, California – A brush fire broke out just after noon today near the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo.

Orange County Fire Authority crews moved quickly to battle the flames, attacking from the ground and using two FIREHAWK helicopters. Their rapid response kept the fire limited to just 1 acre, with no structures damaged.

The agency thanked the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for assisting in maintaining safety in the area, and also acknowledged residents for staying clear, allowing crews fast access to the scene.
