Miami Beach, United States – A large shipment of illicit narcotics was offloaded by the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Tampa at Coast Guard Base Miami Beach following multiple interdictions in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 3,825 pounds of cocaine, recovered during two separate interdictions carried out in international waters.
The contraband, valued at more than 28.7 million dollars, was unloaded on April 16, 2026, by the cutter’s crew as part of an ongoing mission in the region.
The seized drugs were linked to Operation Pacific Viper, during which the Coast Guard intercepted smuggling activity across the Eastern Pacific.
The statement also noted that the amount of cocaine seized would be enough to kill more than 1.4 million Americans.
