Pacific Ocean – A U.S. Navy aircraft carrier conducted flight operations in the Pacific Ocean as part of an ongoing deployment focused on strengthening regional maritime cooperation.
The USS Nimitz (CVN 68), a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, carried out flight operations on its flight deck on April 11, 2026, while deployed in the Pacific.
Sailors aboard the vessel were seen conducting routine flight deck operations as part of the carrier’s air power activity during the deployment.
The USS Nimitz is operating under the Southern Seas 2026 deployment, which aims to enhance capability, improve interoperability, and strengthen maritime partnerships across the region.
The mission includes joint, multinational, and interagency exchanges and cooperation with countries throughout the area of operations.
