Kanlaon Volcano Sends Ash Plumes 400 Meters Into Sky In Early Morning Eruption

Canlaon City, Philippines – Time-lapse footage captured ash emissions from the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano at 07:05 AM on April 13, 2026.

Grayish plumes were seen rising from the crater before drifting toward the southwest.

The ash reached an estimated height of 400 meters above the volcano summit.

The event was recorded by an IP camera at the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory–Canlaon City.

Authorities confirmed that Alert Level 2 remains in effect over Kanlaon Volcano.
