Moriches Inlet, New York – The U.S. Coast Guard successfully rescued four people from a disabled 42-foot motor yacht, Proudfoot, three miles southwest of Moriches Inlet on April 4, 2026.

A MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod hoisted the four mariners, consisting of two males and two females, from the stranded vessel.

All four were safely transported to Gabreski Airport for evaluation by emergency medical services. No injuries were reported.
