Philippine Coast Guard Rescues Drunk Man From Drowning In Aparri

Aparri, Philippines – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) provided urgent medical assistance to a 41-year-old man after a near-drowning incident in the waters near Barangay Punta, Aparri, Cagayan, on April 2, 2026.

At approximately 5:41 PM, the Deployable Response Group (DRG) Northeastern Luzon team responded swiftly, rescuing the victim and bringing him safely to shore.

By 6:04 PM, the team had transported the man to Aparri Provincial Hospital for medical assessment. He was found to be in stable condition but under the influence of alcohol.

Following treatment, the victim was handed over to MPS Aparri for appropriate action due to a violation of Executive Order No. 2026-023 (Liquor Ban).

The PCG reminded the public to adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe and accident-free holiday.
