Federal Agents And Boaters Rescued From 10-Foot Waves Off Puerto Rico

Toa Baja, Puerto Rico – On the night of March 30, 2026, three U.S. federal agents and two boaters were rescued off Isla de Cabras after their vessel capsized in 10-foot swells.

The agents had been attempting to save two people from another capsized boat when their own craft overturned, throwing all five into the turbulent water.

A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter and a Puerto Rico Police aircrew arrived quickly, pulling everyone to safety.

All rescued individuals were treated for minor injuries. Authorities confirmed no one else was missing.
