Israeli Air Force Conducts Over 2,000 Aerial Refuelings During Strikes In Iran

Israel – Since the start of Operation “Shaget HaAri,” the Israeli Air Force has carried out hundreds of combat missions over Iranian airspace, targeting facilities linked to the Iranian regime.

A crucial element of these operations has been air-to-air refueling. Tanker aircraft have performed approximately 2,000 aerial refuelings, enabling fighter jets to maintain extended presence and superiority in the region.

“These refuelings are essential for sustaining air dominance and operational reach,” an IDF spokesperson said. “The crews coordinate closely to ensure each mission succeeds.”

The operation highlights the logistical complexity and precision required for long-range strikes, emphasizing Israel’s capability to project air power far beyond its borders.

The IDF notes that every aerial refueling contributes directly to the success of the air campaign, supporting sustained pressure on targets and maintaining strategic advantage.
