Atlanta, United States – On March 16, 2026, Atlanta police were alerted to a stolen vehicle traveling near Campbellton Road SW and Delowe Drive SW. Officers set up a perimeter and located the vehicle after it crashed into a pole near Campbellton Road SW and Bent Creek Way SW, leaving it disabled.
One suspect tried to flee on foot but was quickly detained. A second suspect was captured after a bystander reported seeing a male running from the vehicle.
The suspects were identified as Jaylen Hollaway, born December 2005, and Maurice Hines, born October 2008. Hollaway reportedly said, “I’m so so sorry, I never been in trouble” after being apprehended. The stolen vehicle had been reported by the East Point Police Department.
Hollaway was charged with Criminal Damage to Property in the Second Degree and Felony Theft by Taking. Hines faced multiple charges, including Felony Theft by Receiving, Criminal Damage to Property in the Second Degree, Possession of Marijuana less than 1 Ounce, Reckless Driving, Hit and Run, Driving Without a Valid License, Improper Lane Change, and Obstruction.
Both suspects were transported to the Fulton County Jail. Authorities note that all arrests and photos are public information, and being arrested does not indicate guilt. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
