Pacific Ocean – U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II jets from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 122, attached to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, carried out deck landing qualifications on the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) on March 21 and 22, 2026.

The 11th MEU is currently underway aboard the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. These operations demonstrate the United States’ long-term commitment to maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

The deck landings highlight the Marines’ precision, readiness, and integration with naval forces, showcasing the advanced capabilities of the F-35B Lightning II in challenging operational conditions.
