Boston, MA – On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a large fire broke out in a multi-family home on West Street in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

Video footage captured heavy flames and thick black smoke pouring from the second and third floors as the fire rapidly spread across the roof. Firefighters were seen actively battling the blaze while the situation intensified.

Boston Fire Department reported that all personnel were ordered off the third floor for safety as the fire escalated. A 4th alarm was called, reflecting the severity of the incident.

The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed. Authorities continue to operate on scene to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of residents and responders.
