Madrid, Spain – Authorities intercepted 625 kilograms of methamphetamine in a joint operation at Adolfo Suárez Madrid‑Barajas Airport and Arganda del Rey.
The shipment, originating from Mexico, was falsely declared as coconut oil and contained in 36 separate containers. Guardia Civil and the Customs Surveillance Service conducted follow-ups that identified those responsible and their operational network.
Five individuals were arrested and one is under investigation. Four of the suspects have been placed in provisional prison custody.
