Coast Guard Rescues Five Swimmers During Near-Drowning Incident

San Fabian, Philippines – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued five swimmers from a near-drowning situation on March 14, 2025, along the shoreline of Brgy. Nibaliw Vidal, San Fabian, Pangasinan.

While conducting routine Baywatch patrols, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Fabian personnel received a call for help from a resident of Brgy. Bolaoit, Malasiqui. The caller reported that five members of their group had been swept away by strong waves.

The CGSS team immediately launched a Search and Rescue operation. They located all five swimmers in distress and safely brought them back to shore.

Initial reports indicated that the group had been battered by large waves and powerful currents, placing them in serious danger of drowning.

All five rescued individuals are residents of Brgy. Bolaoit, Malasiqui. Once the Coast Guard ensured their conditions were stable, they were handed over to their families.
