Montanejos, Spain – A dramatic mountain rescue unfolded at Cueva Negra as a helicopter from Emergencies 112 hovered over rugged forest terrain, lowering a long crane winch to reach an injured hiker.
The Mountain Rescue Unit carefully secured the woman to the harness and lifted her steadily into the aircraft. The footage shows the helicopter stabilizing above rocky slopes and dense trees as the winch retracted, keeping the operation precise and controlled.
Once at the Montanejos helipad, the woman was safely transferred from the helicopter to waiting medical personnel and an ambulance. She had suffered a leg injury while hiking and was unable to leave on her own.
The rescue was carried out by the Castelló Provincial Fire Department and completed without further complications. The operation was captured on video and shared on March 17, 2026.
The poster described it as: “The rescue of a woman in a forested area of Montanejos has been completed. The team conducted the extraction using a crane and transferred her to medical services at the helipad.”
