Jiangxi, China – On March 2, 2026, around 7 a.m., a severe collision on the Fuyin Expressway in De’an left a truck sliding hundreds of meters amid sparks and chaos.
The accident occurred when Hu, driving a small passenger car in the second lane, suddenly veered right and struck a small truck in the third lane. The impact caused the truck to lose control, violently rocking before flipping onto its side and sliding forward more than 100 meters while sparks erupted from the collision. Hu’s car spun before coming to a stop in the emergency lane.
Both vehicles were damaged in the crash. The passenger in Hu’s car sustained injuries and was treated accordingly.
Police investigations revealed the crash was caused by Hu’s fatigue. Hu admitted, “I was tired and nodded off for a moment, and the accident happened.” Authorities reminded drivers that spring brings rising temperatures and increased fatigue risks. Drivers should maintain regular sleep patterns, assess their energy before long trips, and plan rest stops proactively to prevent similar accidents.
