Aircraft Capable Of Carrying Nuclear Bomb Takes Off On Night Mission Over Iran

Arabian Sea – A U.S. Air Force B‑52H Stratofortress bomber, an aircraft capable of carrying a nuclear bomb, was filmed preparing and launching under dark nighttime skies. The video, taken from a stationary ground view, shows the bomber positioned on a dimly lit runway with its navigation lights glowing red and white against the black backdrop.

As it began to taxi forward, all eight engines ignited, producing a deep rumble and driving the heavy bomber with increasing speed. The aircraft lifted off smoothly, climbing steeply as its wingtip lights trailed upward and disappeared into the dark sky, emphasizing the massive swept‑wing silhouette against minimal ambient illumination.

Released on March 15, 2026, the footage was shared as part of ongoing updates during Operation Epic Fury—the U.S.-led campaign that began on February 28 with airstrikes on Iranian military infrastructure including ballistic missile sites, command centers, and air defenses. The video highlights the B‑52’s continued role in long‑range missions from bases such as RAF Fairford in the UK, where additional bombers arrived on March 13 following sorties over Iran.

By mid‑March, U.S. forces had struck over 6,000 targets to degrade Tehran’s capabilities without any reported losses of U.S. aircraft.

A spokesperson said, “A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress takes off for a night mission during Operation Epic Fury. Strikes from U.S. forces continue to be unpredictable, dynamic, and decisive.”
