Tehran, Iran – Videos released by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 13, 2026, show extensive damage in the Javadiyeh and Beryanak districts of Tehran, with collapsed buildings and chaotic rescue efforts amid widespread destruction.
Footage filmed amid overcast skies depicts a bearded man in a black beanie and red jacket speaking to the camera as crowds of rescuers and onlookers mill around devastated streets. Rubble from multi‑story buildings, debris, and damaged vehicles fill the background as emergency workers in red and white uniforms with crescent logos climb piles of wreckage or converse urgently.
The handheld clips shift to chaotic scenes where teams use excavators to clear concrete slabs and carry limp bodies on blue stretchers toward waiting ambulances. Injured civilians, including women in headscarves, are assisted and loaded into medical vehicles while others gather near cordoned areas amid lingering dust.
The videos were recorded amid what Iran describes as the ongoing U.S.‑Israeli aerial campaign that has “reportedly struck civilian neighborhoods across Tehran” since late February, causing “over 1,300 deaths nationwide according to the Iranian Red Crescent.” Iran says the attacks damaged residential housing in Javadiyeh and Beryanak, prompting extensive search‑and‑rescue operations.
The poster of the video described the strikes, stating: “In continued attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime across Iran, two densely populated civilian neighborhoods in Tehran — Javadiyeh and Beryanak — were targeted, areas known for their high population density and tightly packed residential housing.”
