Thousands Flock To Valencia Streets As Fallas Festival Reaches Peak

Valencia, Spain – Thousands of festival-goers filled the streets of Valencia’s historic center on March 13 as the 2026 Fallas festival reached its peak. Drone footage released by the Policía Nacional shows dense crowds moving through sidewalks, plazas, and roundabouts, with white plumes from fireworks rising above the vibrant urban landscape.

Police vans marked “POLICÍA NACIONAL 200,” motorcycles, and officers on foot navigated the narrow streets, directing traffic and monitoring the festivities. The coordinated security operation involved over 6,500 agents from the National Police, Local Police, and Civil Guard, focused on preventing illegal fireworks, controlling crowds, and ensuring public safety.

The footage highlights iconic festival locations, including the City Hall square, as parades, mascletàs, and ninot displays unfolded amid orderly crowds. Authorities reported no major incidents during the early hours of the celebrations, emphasizing the effectiveness of the extensive deployment.

With millions of attendees expected through March 19, law enforcement continues to maintain a strong presence to safeguard both participants and the historic urban environment.
