High-Speed Chase Ends With Car Launching Into Air Before Rollover

Fond du Lac County, WI – Dramatic dashcam and body camera footage released by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office shows a high-speed chase ending in a harrowing rollover on March 11.

The pursuit began just after 6:30 p.m. when Dodge County deputies requested help on a northbound chase along I-31 from Highway 28 Wayside. The suspect, a 23-year-old woman from Menasha, with a 20-year-old Milwaukee man as her passenger, exited the interstate and drove east on Highway 49.

Dodge County deputies terminated the chase near Butternut Road. Later, a Fond du Lac deputy spotted the car traveling 96 mph on County Highway K. Emergency lights and sirens failed to stop the driver, and a short chase followed before it was also ended.

The suspect continued onto County Highways F and V. Stop stick devices deployed at County Highways B and V failed to stop the car. A second deployment at County Highways V and K forced the driver to swerve. The vehicle launched briefly into the air before landing in a ditch, crossing the highway, and rolling over, coming to rest in the southwest portion of the intersection.

Deputies extricated both occupants, who were treated on scene and taken to a hospital with minor injuries. No deputies were injured, and their vehicles remained undamaged.

The 23-year-old woman, on probation, faces charges including fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering safety, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating with a restricted controlled substance. The 20-year-old man, also on probation with an active warrant, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were jailed after medical clearance.
