Tehran, Iran – Iranian authorities say residential neighborhoods in Tehran were struck by overnight airstrikes on March 11, 2026, resulting in widespread destruction and rising civilian casualties.
Officials reported that areas near Nejatollahi Street and Haqqani Street were targeted in the attacks. The strikes occurred amid ongoing United States and Israeli operations against Iranian military and infrastructure sites, which have contributed to over 1,300 deaths nationwide since late February.
Footage shows a bearded man in a red cap and gray jacket reporting from darkened streets, with crowds of onlookers and emergency responders nearby. Damaged buildings and distant city lights are visible as he gestures emphatically while describing the situation.
Rescue teams in red uniforms and white helmets worked through piles of concrete rubble, twisted metal, and shattered glass. Using flashlights, headlamps, and tools, they searched for survivors amid smoke and debris covering roads and sidewalks lined with bare trees and parked vehicles.
Iranian authorities stated, “The United States and the Israeli regime, continuing their attacks on residential and civilian areas in Iran, targeted a residential area near Nejatollahi Street in Tehran and another residential area on Haqqani Street in Tehran a few hours ago.”
