Large Crowd Evacuated From Kansas City Airport After Bomb Threat

Kansas City, United States – A large group of passengers was evacuated to the tarmac at Kansas City International Airport on March 8, 2026, following a bomb threat targeting the terminal and parking garage.

Video captured by X user Logan shows travelers of all ages standing or walking slowly across the concrete tarmac under clear blue skies. Many carried suitcases, backpacks, and purses, wearing casual travel attire such as jackets, hoodies, and jeans. Small clusters formed as people checked their phones or spoke with one another while shadows stretched across the ground.

The footage pans across the crowd with the terminal visible in the distance, featuring glass walls, ramps, and parked vehicles. Despite the partial shutdown, the scene remained orderly, with no emergency vehicles or personnel immediately visible in the video.

Authorities reported the bomb threat came in around 11:15 a.m. local time. Travelers were directed outside while police, K9 units, and bomb squads conducted searches of the terminal and parking areas. Flights were grounded and delays lasted about an hour.

Officials, including the FBI, later deemed the threat non-credible. No devices were found and no injuries were reported.

The poster described the scene as: “Kansas City airport being evacuated. We were all told to immediately get to concourse A. K9’s and agents all over the place. No planes on the tarmac.”
