Santa María de Huerta, Soria, Spain – On International Wildlife Day, a team of wildlife technicians and trainees responded to an urgent call from a local resident about a fox in distress.
The animal had its head stuck inside a jar, unable to free itself. Upon arrival, the team quickly assessed the situation and worked carefully to release the fox without causing harm.
Using their expertise, the technician and trainees were able to remove the jar and set the fox free, safely returning it to the wild.
The rescue highlights the importance of quick action, local vigilance, and skilled wildlife care, turning a potentially dangerous situation into a successful release.
The rescuers celebrated the successful outcome as a meaningful way to honor International Wildlife Day.
