Atlanta, United States – On August 14, 2025, the Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny Unit launched an investigation into a series of thefts at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 2000 Marietta Blvd NW. The stolen items, taken between August 4 and August 12, 2025, included multiple bronze vases, bronze plaques, and granite slabs, with a total estimated value exceeding $130,000.
On August 23, 2025, police executed a search warrant on a vehicle linked to the thefts. Investigators recovered ten large grave markers, five vases, and one small plaque. Numerous grinding wheels used to alter the metal and prevent identification were also seized.
The investigation identified the suspects as Allison Pena, born February 1986, and Emanuel Pena, born May 1982. Both were charged with Felony Theft by Taking.
The siblings were subsequently booked into Fulton County Jail, concluding the investigation into the high-value thefts that targeted the cemetery.
