Kanlaon Volcano Emits Massive Ash Plumes Reaching 1000 Meters

Canlaon City, Philippines – Kanlaon Volcano released a significant ash emission today, February 27, 2026, between 9:43 a.m. and 10:53 a.m. Time-lapse footage from the IP camera at the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory captured the event.

The eruption produced voluminous grayish plumes that rose approximately 1,000 meters above the summit crater before drifting southward.
