Siheung, South Korea – On February 26, 2026, a cargo truck erupted in towering flames on a busy highway, sending thick black smoke high into the sky and forcing traffic to slow or stop.

The fire started in the truck’s engine compartment and front cab, with orange flames shooting 10–15 feet above the vehicle. Sparks and embers flew as the blaze spread toward the trailer, while dense smoke drifted across lanes, partially obscuring daylight.

Dramatic footage of the fire was captured in real time by X user SVQ from a passing vehicle. The video shows the intense heat, thick smoke, and drivers pulling over as the fire raged. The filmer noted they had already reported the fire before passing the scene, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Firefighters responded quickly, deploying 13 vehicles and 35 personnel. The blaze was fully extinguished within 30 minutes, and no injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed the fire remained confined to the truck, preventing damage to nearby vehicles or structures.
