Huber Heights, USA – On Feb 23, Officer Tyree with Huber Heights Police initiated a routine traffic stop.

Police said the driver fled on foot after the vehicle was stopped. As the officer searched the area, a sanitation worker was moving a trash bin to empty it into a garbage truck.

Dashcam video shared by the department shows the worker opening the bin and reacting in shock after discovering a man hiding inside.

The worker quickly recovered and began jumping and pointing toward the trash can to alert the officer.

The suspect then jumped out of the bin and attempted to run. An officer chased him and placed him into custody.

Police dubbed the suspect “Oscar the Grouch.”

Authorities confirmed the suspect was safely apprehended. It was not clear what charges the suspect could face.
