Eastern Pacific – February 20, 2026 – At the direction of Marine Gen. Francis L. Donovan, commander of U.S. Southern Command, Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations.

Intelligence confirmed the vessel was navigating known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and actively involved in drug trafficking operations.

The strike resulted in the deaths of three male narco-terrorists. No U.S. military personnel were harmed during the operation.

The action highlights U.S. military efforts to disrupt terrorist and narcotics networks in the region.
