West Palm Beach, FL – Bodycam footage shows a confrontation during an anti-Trump protest, where a protester struck pro-Trump supporter Audrey Ragonnaud with a metal flagpole.
On Sunday, deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded after reports of an altercation. The footage captures the protester hitting Ragonnaud in the upper chest and neck before a deputy immediately placed him in handcuffs.
Ragonnaud said, “he shoved against me because I support Trump.” Witnesses expressed shock, with one commenting, “I have never seen such nasty behavior.” Deputies observed visible redness on her neck.
During questioning, the protester was informed he was being arrested for battery. He responded, “I can’t argue with you, how many times do you have to tell someone to get out of your face, just curious, and now I’m done talking.”
Ragonnaud explained that she was standing at the protest when the protester approached, shouting threats and stating he would sue her if she touched him. She clarified she did not touch him, but he still struck her.
The protester was taken into custody and booked at the Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of battery, with bond set at $1,000.
