Toronto, Canada – A massive crowd filled the streets of Toronto on February 14, 2026, as part of a historic day of global demonstrations in solidarity with anti‑regime protests in Iran.
Video filmed from high above Yonge Street in North York shows a river of humanity stretching for kilometers, with an estimated 350,000 to over 570,000 people marching south from Steeles Avenue.
Demonstrators, many Iranian-Canadians and supporters, carried pre‑1979 Iranian flags in red, white, and green with a golden lion and sun. Portraits of Reza Pahlavi and large banners with slogans such as “King Reza Pahlavi,” “Javid Shah,” “One Solution: Revolution,” and “SOS for Iran” were visible throughout the march.
The footage shows drums beating and unified chants rising from the packed crowd, including calls of “King Reza Pahlavi!” and “Death to the dictator!” Families, youth, and elders moved together through the city in a peaceful, organized procession.
Toronto Police managed road closures that kept the flow moving smoothly amid gridlock that snarled traffic for hours. Participants advanced toward Mel Lastman Square, highlighting the scale of one of the largest demonstrations in the city’s history.
The march was part of a Global Day of Action solidarity effort with Iran’s protests, with similar massive gatherings reported in other major cities around the world.
