Oklahoma, USA – A terrifying crash on a toll road in southwestern Oklahoma was caught on video, showing the exact moment a driver slammed into the back of Trooper Tyler Shelby’s vehicle on Monday.

Trooper Shelby and an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority worker were outside their vehicles, diverting traffic due to a grass fire. Emergency lights were activated, and both men waved their arms, trying to alert the oncoming driver.

The driver did not brake and hit Shelby’s car. Both men sprinted to the median to avoid being struck.

Three people inside the vehicle were taken to the hospital. Authorities report that all are expected to survive.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the video highlights the split-second danger faced by law enforcement officers on the toll road.
