Foça, Turkey – On February 12, 2026, a helicopter from Turkey’s Air Force Command was deployed after a migrant boat reportedly sank between Foça and Karaburun.

Facing strong winds, heavy rain, and high tides, the crew successfully rescued two people from the sea.

The survivors were handed over to emergency teams at Aege University Hospital.

The mission was completed successfully despite the challenging conditions at sea.
