Nashville, Tennessee – Kevin D. Haynes, 26, wanted on a statutory rape indictment, sparked a manhunt Sunday night in an East Nashville neighborhood.

After officers spotted him in a parking lot, Haynes ran and attempted to hide inside a trash can.

However, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) helicopter, equipped with a thermal camera, quickly located him from above, ending the pursuit.

The arrest highlights the efficiency of MNPD’s aerial support in tracking suspects during active manhunts.
