Livigno – A skier stranded on a steep ridge after an avalanche was pulled to safety thanks to the rapid action of the Vigili del Fuoco helicopter rescue team.

The emergency unfolded when the man became stuck on the mountainside following the snow slide, leaving him unable to move to a secure area on his own.

Rescuers boarded the Drago 150 helicopter and reached the dangerous slope from the air.

The crew successfully lifted the skier from the ridge and transported him to a safe zone, ending the high-risk operation without further danger.
