Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, Philippines – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) responded to a massive fire in Barangay Lamion on February 3, 2026, that completely destroyed an estimated 1,000 houses.

Personnel from Coast Guard Station Central Tawi-Tawi rushed to the scene to provide urgent assistance. After an hour of intense effort, the fire was brought under control and fully extinguished.

Families affected by the disaster were taken to the station for temporary shelter and aid. Miraculously, no casualties were reported despite the immense destruction.
