Jerez de la Frontera, Spain – Emergency teams from the Guardia Civil’s Special Underwater Activities Group (GEAS) and Air Service (SAER) evacuated nearly 50 residents and their dogs from homes in Las Pachecas, Lomopardo, and San Isidro de Guadalete after the Guadalete River surged.
During the operation, a driver trapped in a vehicle on the A-381 was also rescued, highlighting the widespread impact of the flooding.
Aerial footage captured from a helicopter shows the extent of the inundation as communities struggle with the swollen river, while families and their pets are safely brought to higher ground.
