Oujojibara Training Area, Japan – U.S. Marines from Alpha Company, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3D Marine Division, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 1st Airborne Brigade paratroopers performed a static line jump on January 16, 2026, during Northern Trilogy 2026.

This exercise marks the first Multinational Airborne Exercise held in Japan, bringing together forces from multiple nations.

The operation included several airborne jumps and simulated combat maneuvers, designed to strengthen bilateral capabilities and enhance interoperability between the participating militaries.
