London Protesters Rally In Solidarity With Iranian People

London, United Kingdom – A large and peaceful solidarity rally supporting the Iranian people and opposing the Islamic Republic regime took place in central London on January 18, 2026.

Participants gathered closely together, forming an orderly crowd as they stood or moved slowly through the area. Demonstrators were bundled in winter clothing suitable for cold January conditions, reflecting the scale of the turnout despite the weather.

The event was part of a series of demonstrations organized by members of the Iranian diaspora and their supporters. Protesters called for freedom, regime change, an end to IRGC terrorism, and greater international support for those protesting inside Iran.

The rally coincided with intensified nationwide unrest in Iran, triggered by economic crisis, repression, and reported crackdowns and massacres. Similar solidarity actions were held across London during the same period, including near Parliament Square, Downing Street, and the Iranian Embassy.

Although no chanting or signs were visible in the recorded moment, the message of the gathering was clear. The demonstration conveyed unity and determination among participants, including families and young people, standing in support of Iranians facing severe repression.
