Nizhny Novgorod, Russia – Across Russia, rescuers and firefighters with the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) brought New Year’s magic to children unable to celebrate the holiday with their families.

At the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, Ded Moroz and Snegurochka appeared for patients at their hospital room windows, suspended on ropes from the roof. In the Trans-Baikal region, rescuers delivered a New Year’s fairytale to children at the “Nadezhda” center, with the holiday figures congratulating the kids and announcing the results of a drawing contest.

In Ulyanovsk, firefighters organized a festive celebration at the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital named after Yu.F. Goryachev, distributing boxes of gifts to the patients.

In Moscow, firefighters from Fire and Rescue Unit No. 24 continued their annual tradition at the N.N. Blokhin Oncology Center. Ded Moroz and Snegurochka again appeared suspended from the roof on ropes, surprising children at their windows while wishing them a speedy recovery and fulfillment of their wishes.

These efforts showcase how Russian rescuers and firefighters bring joy and hope to children facing difficult circumstances during the holiday season.
