Protesters Flood Fifth Avenue During Anti-ICE March In New York City

New York City, USA – Video filmed on January 11, 2026, shows a large group of protesters marching south along Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

The footage was recorded by X user Carolyn Steinhoff, a poet, and was captured handheld from within the crowd under overcast skies.

Hundreds of demonstrators wearing winter coats, hats, scarves, and masks fill the street as they move through the urban corridor. Handmade signs visible in the crowd read “IT WAS GENOCIDE,” “NO” with a stylized eye symbol, “CITY OF ♥ GIANTS,” “HANDS OFF NYC,” and “Resist ICE Office of NYC.”

The march appears peaceful, with participants walking steadily and faint chants audible. Tall historic buildings line the avenue, decorated with American flags, traffic lights, and leafless trees.

The caption accompanying the video states: “ICE Out Of NYC and everywhere!!!”

The footage shows part of the “No War, No Kings, No ICE” protest held in New York City on January 11, 2026. The demonstration was one of several nationwide actions following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis the previous week.

The rally was organized by a coalition that included the New York City Democratic Socialists of America and Hands Off NYC. Participants first gathered at Grand Army Plaza near Central Park for speeches before marching down Fifth Avenue past Trump Tower.

Protesters criticized ICE immigration enforcement, Trump’s deportation policies, and U.S. military actions in Venezuela. The event remained peaceful, with no reported arrests, injuries, or violence.

Similar demonstrations took place across the United States, including in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, as part of the “ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action.”
