California, United States – Police were called to a neighborhood after “an adventurous cow took an unauthorized stroll in the roadway.”

The Murrieta Police Department reported that the cow had escaped from its pasture while its owners were out of town. A video shared by police showed the animal calmly walking through the street as officers worked to keep it safe from traffic.

Authorities safely turned the cow over to a neighbor for care until the owners return home.

“No injuries, no charges — just a brief case of beef with traffic,” the police joked. “All is well — case closed, pasture bedtime.”
