Midwest U.S. – Video filmed by X user Joseph Frascati captures a severe winter storm during the late December 2025 “bomb cyclone.”
The footage, taken around 6:45 PM, shows intense snowfall and blizzard conditions, with visibility drastically reduced by heavy snow and powerful winds. The video was recorded during the user’s trip to a gas station for a slice of pizza amidst the storm.
Frames reveal a dark, foggy environment lit by a single streetlight and vehicle headlights, with snow blowing across the scene. The whiteout conditions make driving extremely dangerous.
The storm brought heavy snow, ice, and strong winds across the Midwest and Great Lakes region, prompting blizzard warnings and hazardous travel conditions. Roads and highways became treacherous as the storm rapidly intensified.
Referred to as a “bomb cyclone,” the storm caused widespread disruption to post-holiday travel and created life-threatening conditions in several states. The video illustrates the severity of the weather and the challenges faced by residents and travelers during the storm.
